"There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written or badly written."
That was Oscar Wilde’s opinion on censorship, and it makes sense. I would no sooner want a group of people dictating appropriate content to me than I would the correct hand with which to write, way of dress, or religion. Censorship has always been a fairly simple argument for both sides. However, from my perspective, the current problem with Manhunt 2 has little to do with its questionable content. Manhunt 2 is a classic case of a book written badly. This, however - this needs to happen!
Is it almost holiday time already? November/December marks the second of two times that I kiss the ground in thanks for no longer having to work videogame retail. The first is mid-August, around the ides. I probably devote more time to pondering the videogaming landscape than most (read: sane) people, but this holiday really marks the first major tectonic shift in our fair hobby since the PlayStation inception. Each of the three home platforms is making a strong case for our gift-giving dollar, and the present sales frontrunner is driving on the strength of its appeal to people who never play games. Madness! At present, I am juggling sessions of Zack and Wiki, Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles, Orange Box and Etrian Odyssey. I have never before seen so many unopened titles on my shelves, and that’s without thinking of the big boys still to come. Super Mario Galaxy, Virtua Fighter 5 (already out but not yet in my possession), Mass Effect, Contra 4, Call of Duty 4, Rock Band, and Assassin’s Creed, just to name a few. Boom - $500. That ignores the smaller titles that I will likely own, including Puzzle de Harvest Moon, Word Coach, and Warhammer 40,000 Squad Command. Additionally, I’ve only listed these off the top of my head. My actual list stretches into an infinity rife with quality!
Perhaps Santa will be kind enough to gift wrap several extra hours and place them under my tree.
As an aside, our Extras page should be fully functional and bug-free by the end of this week. I appreciate your patience.

Well boyz and gurlz, it's ya boy DZ here 2 let U know that although I hate Tom Brady and his bunch, I hope they go tha rest of tha year whoopin’ ass! Y? ’cause while I hate tha Pats and their flock of New Englandiots, I absolutely despise tha ’72 Dolphins. 4 those not n tha know, each year tha living members of that team get together and celebrate when tha last undefeated team loses. They do this as a pat on tha back 2 themselves because they are tha only team 2 ever have a perfect season and win tha Super Bowl. Their self-promoting style has really left me wanting 2 repeal tha Tuna Act and slaughter some of Flipper’s kinfolk. So with that said - GO PATS!!!!
