Fun ideas can appear when and where they are least anticipated. I submit to you the visual entwining of an e-mail conversation, an ineffectual desire for one rabbit-dog-thingy to master all he surveys, and the deaths of over twelve million Pan-Asians during the Third Pandemic. I hold the backstory close to my chest. Maybe if you are invited to my birthday party, I will entertain you with its bloated importance.
Back from PAX, I must apologize for our late update. I always emphasize timeliness for our webpage, and the fault here rests with me. Forgive me, and I will strive to regain your confidence.
PAX itself was awesome, per usual. No doubt you have already scanned reams of blogs, Twitters and other such things seeking some vicarious thrill of the event, and I will not bore you with my recitation. Except, of course, to thank our good friend Rick for his kind hospitality. Also, it was a pleasure to meet Ross Miller, a true class act. I also appreciate the guys on-hand from Garage Games for tolerating my incessant badgerings regarding the inner workings of Torque.
Man. Today I bought a copy of Final Fantasy XII and look forward to plumbing its depths. I have not enjoyed a Final Fantasy proper since the heady days of the Super Nintendo, instead slaking my thirst for role-playing with games bearing the prefix "Xeno" and a small host of others. While I realize my arrival to the XII party is late, most of the partygoers having already plowed through the drunk phase, the accidental sex phase, and the he’s-a-pig-she’s-a-whore phase, fun springs eternal. In my quiet dabbling with the title before, I have enjoyed the unorthodox battle system, seeing it wrap together elements of East and West with seeming ease. The world of Ivalice is a well-rounded thing, appearing as it did originally in Final Fantasy Tactics to its full blossom for XII. I do not typically like role-playing games anymore, what with their byzantine systems trying desperately to cleave a divide between those who "get it" and those who do not. Rarely is the game worth "getting" in the first place, much less for all of the struggle and previous knowledge they demand. Even though my free time devoted to games is a sliver, I am happy at the prospect of pouring into that sliver something worthwhile.

Hey all. The crew and I just got back home only a few hours ago and we are all exhausted. Had an awesome time in Seattle at PAX and met a bunch of really cool people. I have a lot to talk about, but no energy to write at the moment. I will make it up to you next week.
